Johannes Kollaard sr (1918-2000)

Johannes Kollaard was born on November 5th, 1918 in
Utrecht and was a student of Willem van Leusden.

He was arrested on April 20th, 1941 by the S.D. because
of manufacturing the derision caricature "op de hoek van
de straat" and espionage. The original condemnation untill
the death sentence finally got converted into five years
Sicherheitshaft (in Siegburg, Germany) which means
actually lifelong cloistering.

By the end of the war, he was liberated after four years
and two months.

He died on May 11th, 2000.
